Famous, from Colin's sixth Studio album 'Water on Snow', a co-write with Charlie Dore, originally released in the year 2000, it is a wry sardonic take on the world of Fame. A firm favourite from Colin's solo live shows, in this version Paul Tiernan, multi instrumentalist, vocalist, singer /songwriter and producer assumes lead vocal duties with Dogtail Soup, the supergroup formed by Colin, Fergus O'Farrell, Maurice Seezer, Camilla Griehsel and Paul himself with assorted musicians from the Interference collective.
Paul began his career as singer with his band "Flex and the Fastweather", who in their heyday had a string of hit singles in Ireland, going solo in the early '90's he released his debut solo album titled 'Who's fooling who?' in 1995.
As well as performing solo, Paul has also toured internationally as guitarist with the '60s legend Donovan, Welsh Breton songstress Katell Keineg, Kieran Halpin, Morcheeba, Glen Hansard, Nick Harper, Robyn Hitchcock, Mark Geary, Maria Doyle Kennedy and platinum selling Irish singer Sinead Lohan whilst also guesting with the HotHouse Flowers, Mary Black, Christy Moore and Beth Orton.
He is a long standing member and lynchpin of legendary Irish group Interference and co vocalist of their alter ego Dogtail Soup.
Following on the success of his first album, he formed a trio with Kevin Murphy on cello and Colm McCaughey on fiddle bringing to the music
an unusual sense of melody crossing over the rock-traditional-folk divide.

This distinctive combination resulted in successful tours of America and Scandinavia including a stunning performance at the international
South by Southwest music seminar in Texas in 1995, tours and festivals in Switzerland,The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, France and in
Germany throughout the last 25 years and a string of vibrant performances to consistently loyal audiences all over Ireland.

These days Paul divides his time between France and his native Cork in Ireland, writing, touring and recording, assembling various combinations
of musicians to compliment his very distintive sound, more often than not with the likes of Maurice Seezer, Camilla Griehsel, Marja Gaynor, Tony Davis and John Lester. Paul appears on all of interference and Dogtail Soup albums, the 'Black' album 'Water on Stone', has released two solo live albums, has featured on several compilations and guested on other recordings for a number of his peers. He is currently working on his 9th Solo album which is set for release in early 2023.
